Done and Done. (Jessica)

For any of you who don't know who Allie Condie is, boo you. I just got done reading this book, at I strongly recommend it. (You have to read the first one first, it's called Matched.) It's sort of, kind of, like the hunger games. Only, not as bloody and gross. At all. I love it!

Rachel explained our weekend together perfectly. I have pictures, but she got all of the important stuff. :)
I recently browsed on Pinterest, and to my (& my Mom's) delight, I found this.

I only laughed really hard for about an hour. :)

I should probably explain the pictures above. Thanks to Jolene's amazing sister Damaris, I was able to have really cute hair for Young Women's. When I got home I added the bow. This is what she did it with.

You can find these at Walmart, they aren't too expensive and certainly make super cute curls/waves!!

With nothing but a boring life,
 Jessica

Happy Birthday Sis! {Rachel}

  Kate's 7th birthday was on the 28th! I can't believe that 7 years ago my grandma and grandpa came to my house to tend Reed and I so my mom and dad could go to the hospital! That was when I was 6! I love having a little sister and I love all that she teaches me.
  The other day me and my friend Emily where talking about how our lives are so diffrent because she is the youngest in her family, and I am the oldest! I said, "Emily, you don't know how much you are missing out on being the big sister," her reply was... "Rachel, you don't know how much you miss out on not having an older sister!". She has 2 older sisters who are all moved out and at collage. Every day she begs them to come home and visit her. I said to my mom one day, "Mom, do you think Kate will want me to come home as much as Emily wants Audrey and Kasidy to come home?". She said, "I think she will,".
  I hope I am being as great of a bis sister to Kate as Audrey is to Emily. I love ya lots little sis! Here is some pictures of the big day/party.

This is before I went to school, when she got to open some of her presents!

 This is at her party! We had an owl themed party... it was super cute and fun!

top left: Some cute bags I made for the scavenger hunt.
top right: Streamers that I hung above the stairs for a suprise.
bottom left: I hung streamers in our door frame so she had to bust through them to get out!
bottom right: the cute owl cupcakes my mom made for the party.

This is all the loot she got from her friends. Believe me there was more from family!
(Do ya see the garbage can far right corner? That was from my mom... isn't it funny how a garbage can can make a kid happy?)

  Kate got one of these baby's for her birthday. My aunt sent her those ADORABLE head bands (she makes them)  for her baby's! Aren't they darling?!

I love my little sister! Happy birthday sis!

I will always have friends like them! {Rachel}

  On Friday {a week ago} Jessica, Joseph, Julie,Reed, Kate, and I all left school early to start the trek toward Pine Valley Utah. I have never been to either of Jessica's grandparents {That is partly because one lives in Oregon.} house so it was fun to finally see where "Pine Valley" is! We have had this trip planned for months:
Friday- Go to Touachan and watch Aladdin
Saturday- Go to Zions National Park
Sunday- watch the Brigham City Temple dedication
  I had so much fun and took a TON of pictures for you. I put them all together in little Pic Frames {Thanks to my awesome cousin who first introduced me to the app} so this post wasn't a million miles long. I will go one event at a time...

Road Trip:
  First things first... we had to drive 4 hours to Pine Valley! I really don't know how Jessica's family drives anywhere between 4 and 10 hours to see their grandparents! Some of the pictures are from the trip to Zions and some are from the Payson- Pine Valley trip.

 1. Reed and Joseph going crazy on the long drive!
2. 2 Happy friends driving to Zions!
  3. 2 Happy friends driving to Pine Valley
4. Us playing "Jello" on the twisty roads
  5. Me sitting on the floor of the truck enjoying my yellow fruit snacks
6. The 2 nerds @ Zions (I will explain the Glasses later.)

  The drives where defiantly long, but we played games, ate treats, found weird ways to sit, and took pictures. In #5 I was sitting on the floor of the truck between the back seat and the back of the drivers seat! I had a really numb bum after, but it was the perfect spot for a little nap!

Aladdin @ Tuacahn:
  Aladdin was awesome! Last year we loved "The Little Mermaid" so when we heard they where doing Aladdin we had to come watch it! I thought it was great! In the show there is a little part where they couldn't act it (when Aladdin goes in to the cave to find the lamp) so they made a 3D movie instead! This is where the glasses came in to play. (And after we all popped the lenses out and used them for nerd glasses!)

  1. The Program
2. Reed and Joseph enjoying their Nerd glasses
3. Our big group of 14 people! (Both families+Grandma and Grandpa)
4. My Dad enjoying the spot light!
5. Me with my sweet glasses
6. 2 Happy friends ready for the show to start!
7. The stage
8. Jessica with her sweet glasses
9. Me on the awesome Aladdin stairs!

  I thought the show was pretty dang awesome! I also loved the Aladdin stairs. If you have a chance to see the show I would totally go, you would love it! P.S. Do you see where I got the title of this post now?

Zions National Park:
  As of now I have been to all of the National Parks in Utah. In Utah Studies we have been learning all about them. It was fun to see some of the things that we had talked about in class. I also loved how it looked like Lake Powell without as many trees and no water! I think all the National Parks are similar, as in red rocks, sand stone, etc but the best thing is going to see all these beautiful things with my friends and family!
  While we where driving through the park we looked at the sceneary and drove through a 1+ mile long tunnel in the rock mountian! It was so cool! Here are some snap shots of the scenic drive:

 Is that pretty or what?

On a hike that we went on there was 2 water falls. The hike was called "Emerald Pools" and that is the perfect name! It was like a little loop in the canyon and the waterfalls came down in 2 different spots, and formed a little green pool. It felt super good to get a little wet after walking in the heat!

1. Jessica and I standing under the little waterfall
2. Posing for a picture in the red rocks
3. A family photo with the waterfalls in the backround
4. The little girls playing
5. 2 Happy friends in the red rock
6. 2 Happy friends enjoying our GIANT ice cream cones after the hike.

  And after we got home we played on the swing set, I had a good time... playing with the little girls.

Sunday Fun Day:
  Today we just played out side and went to the temple dedication. It was fun to go to some new places and see some mew things!

 This is all of us eating candy and playing "Mouse Trap"!

  Reed and Joseph taking "in action" pictures as they jump off the swings.

I had a great time! I loved meeting Jessica's Grandparents and staying at their house. Thanks! I ain't never had friends like them!

Here is to 2 happy friends

P.S. She Plays Tennis! {Rachel}

  I thought I should mention that Jessica plays tennis! I don't know why either of us hasn't mentioned that before but... I think it is pretty cool. And honestly I wish I could play! Our other friend Jolene wanted to join the team at school, and soon persuaded Jessica to join the party as well. I was super happy when they both told me that they where going to do an after school activity, because in my group of friends I was the only one that did something out side of school. Now I'm not the only one that gets left out of great laughs, and good times! {Oh, we still have LOTS of good times together, don't worry!}
  One Friday Emily and I decided that we where going to walk over to the school and pick them up from practice as a surprise! It was so cool to see what they do at practice, and how hard they play! I mean, those girls where dripping sweat, and having a great time! I thought I would contribute this to Jessica and Jolene...

Ha ha, suckers!

   Girls keep on tennising! Love ya lots!
Love,

I just can't get enough {Rachel}

  This is my version of the game... sleep! Ya, I didn't watch the hole thing because it was getting a little late and I needed to shower and get to bed, so when I awoke and saw the score I couldn't help but be a little proud. As Jessica said all the stupid fans that attended the game swarmed the field {before the game was over} and we got a penalty, but all is good and fime because the score still showed that Utah was winning.
  I tryed my best to not say too much leading up to the game, because every one knows how stupid you feel when you say "Oh ya, we can win easily!". Then you suddenly think, oops, what if we don't win at all!
  All in all the game was good and I can't wait to see the faces of my BYU fan friends! {Yes, I was told by my dad to not be a bad winner.} But, we can just say that both teams played well, and the fans cheered great {That is until the last second!}. And I would have loved to see Rick {Jessica's dad} when they missed the last kick!

 Go Utah!

Love,
            Rachel

Enough already. (Jessica)

Alright. I don't want to hear it. You Utah fans, keep your mouth shut. For all you people who watched all the way until the end, you saw what happened. Your football players, team and coach weren't very smart. Like, at all. Let me just break it down for you.

4th quarter with 8 seconds left on the clock. What can you do but try to kick a field goal? Oh I don't know. Maybe be as stupid as Riley Nelson and throw a rainbow throw. As his bad, bad, awful throw hit the ground, the Utah fans swarmed the field. But ha! Guess what Utah? 1 SECOND LEFT!!!! Oh, hello pressure how are you today? So the smart way to do things popped into Byu's head (thankfully) and we tried kicking a field goal. Now, I don't know if it's if Utah guys are tall, because their not very good, and somehow, someway, they blocked the kick. Lame.

Oh hold on. We've got one of MY guys running with the ball? That's right. He picks up the ball and runs. After it was blocked. Oh my gosh. That could have been the game! If half the stadium, all the Utah players and the coach hadn't swarmed the field. Well thanks for that Utah. According to the "Rule book", "swarming" is not allowed until the game is over. Duh. Therefore giving Utah a 15 yard penalty. Suckers!
We got another chance to kick a field goal and go into overtime.

Our kicker, under the heaping amount of pressure, must have felt like crap. One inch away from going into overtime. IT BOUNCED OF THE POLE! Are you kidding me? My dad was sprawled on the floor, Jolene's family was mad, I was banging my head against the wall, Brett, Ryden and Levi were so mad, you should have heard the screams and yelps coming from my basement.

I only feel semi-great about this loss.
Example A: Both teams played like crap. Seriously, I may have considered going over there and being a coach because, COME ON!!
Example B: Utah only won by 3. That's not too bad.
Example C: Byu only lost by 3. ONLY.
Example D: You have no idea how much crap I am going to get from all the Utah fans, who I told Byu was going to kill. Crap.

Now, I don't want anyone coming up to me and saying anything about this. You got that? All in all, I still love my cougars, just a little, tiny bit less.
Love, Jessica

The war HAS begun {Rachel}

  As Jessica has mentioned the war HAS begun, and now I will be posting my spirit. But first I would like to mention how on Utah vs. BYU day my English teacher made all the Ute fans sit in the back, read in a closet, and he played the BYU fight song in class {2 times} and over the intercom after school. Plus most of the teachers at our school graduated from BYU therefor most of them are Y fans.
  Any how, I am super exited to watch the game tonight and see who was right and who was wrong. I mostly look forward to seeing who will have to shut their mouth on Sunday and Monday! :)   {I probably should stop talking right about now.}

Don't you LOVE the sea of red?

Here is to a good game, GO UTAH!

 Love,
           Rachel

The war has begun. (Jessica)

Our school's spirit week was ended with a Byu v.s Utah day. Holy cow. It doesn't get much better than that. One teacher made Utah fans read in the closet. Another played the Byu fight song over the intercom. I loved it. You've got the people who have full on red or blue hair. People who are decked out in blue. All the Utah fans in their stuff. Byu fans in their cooler stuff. I thought since the big game was tonight and Byu will kick trash, I should do a Byu prepost.

And there you have it. Utah, look out. Here come the cougars.
Rise, all loyal Cougars
And hurl your challenge to the foe.
We will fight, day or night,
Rain or snow.
Loyal, strong and true,
Wear the White and Blue.
As we sing, get set to spring.
Come on Cougars, it's up to you!

So Rise and Shout, the Cougars are out
We're on a trail to fame and glory.
Rise and shout, our cheers will ring out
As we unfold our vict'ry story.
On we go to vanquish the foe
For Alma Mater's sons and daughters.
As we join in song,
In praise of you, our faith is strong.
We'll raise our colors high in the blue
And cheer our Cougars of BYU.

Love, Jessica

Indeed we did. {Jessica}

Last night, I had some friends come over. Rachel, Jolene, Emily, Kyrra, Levi, Ryden and Bret. We wanted to have night games, but not really night games so we just hung out in my basement.
What we did:
1. Played the "pee" game. You have to bounce the ball into the bowl of water and then you get to choose someone to go drink the water. Whoever has to pee first, loses. I have never, in my whole entire life laughed so hard.

2. Played the "yes" game. One person stands up and as to answer every question you ask him/her with "Yes" and the trick is you can't smile or laugh. Random things were asked. Like, "Do you like Emily's toenails?"

3. Played the "Do you love me game" I think I may have died laughing so hard.

Love my little group of friends, Friday's are my favorite and my basement rocks. :)
Love, Jessica

This explains it perfectly.

Okay, so for Labor day baby Jane came up.

                             Adorable. Enough said.

Top Left: Makayla (all of us) slept in till 9! Top Right: We got suckers from the park! Bottom Left: We went on this AWESOME ride at the carnival. Bottom Right: Aunt Melissa gave Kate and I a ton of flowers!
This video is of Makayla and I doing a bungee jump thing. It was super fun!

What's Going On {Rachel}

  {First of all I would like to thank Jessica for changing our blog design... I it looks super cute!}

  Yesterday Makayla, Hayden, and Preslie all came up for a little visit. I am so exited to have them here for a couple days! Last night while the fireworks where going on, we went out side to watch them while we where playing with glow sticks. While we where hanging outside my dad started to swing around the tether ball, then my mom had an idea. She said, "Girls, what if you cut open a glow stick and made the tether ball glow?". We where all about that, so we cut 2 glow sticks. It was cool looking at first, but when it wouldn't dry, and it stank really bad we decided it wasn't the best idea.{PS it didn't even glow 10 minutes later.}

  Today we woke up to a bad rainstorm. I mean bad, lightning, thunder, and hail. It all has passed {And it is 80 degrees.} now that it is 6:00 pm. This weekend Reed is playing in the "Labor Day Tournament". When the games got canceled then moved from Spanish Fork to Lehi, my parents weren't too thrilled but it is all ok. I had lots of fun watching him, and it only sprinkled on us for the last 10 minutes! But when the Umpire saw lightning close by he called it a ballgame.

This is how it looked most of the game.

Oh, yes. Snuggling under a barbie umbrella.

 I will give you the hole rundown of the rest of Onion Days/my labor day weekend later!

Love,
         Rachel

Oh man. {Jessica}

I have been so busy it's not even funny. Payson Onion days is about to begin, and I for one, will not go out and sit in the parade if it is raining as hard as it is right now. Anyways, on Thursday abunch of people from our ward went to the Mountain View Hospital concert. It was so fun!
P.s. Jo had something in her mouth.

They gave us really yummy icecream. Rachel loved it. Alot.

See how many people?

And the girls.
Last night, my family and I went to the carnival. I saw lots of people I knew there, and forgive me, some of the creepers I knew there as well. Just goes to show you that you're from Payson when you get on a ride with all the creepers/hicks from Payson. Anyways, I went on a upside down ride! And a spinny ride! I am so proud of myself because, I would NEVER DO THAT. I pretty much did one of them because my friend Hailey dragged me up there to get on. On the upside down ride, (Fire Ball) I was forced by Emily and Levi. They said it was so fun! So I went and sure enough...I loved it! Emily on the other and, said she might puke. Because you can't go on it twice in a row. Payson onion days is great. Ha ha.
Love, Jessica
P.S. NO SCHOOL ON MONDAY! (I deserve a break.)
